Why?

Why create a website like this? Two reasons.

1. I've been making things and putting them on the internet for years. I put music on MySpace, TheSixtyOne, SoundCloud and Bandcamp. I put images on Fotolog, Flickr and Instagram. I uploaded videos to YouTube, Vimeo and Instagram. And no doubt I'm forgetting a bunch of others. Some of those don't exist any more. Some of them aren't as good as they used to be. And some are just...kind of evil. I wanted somewhere to present and preserve all of these things.

2. I miss the earlier days of the internet. The time when the web was more than just three websites, each posting screenshots of the other two. Before any of the websites listed above existed, my website did. It was crap. I kept remaking it and it was still crap. But now I know how to make websites. I think? I do it for a living, so I'm pretty sure I do. And I'll probably keep remaking this one, too. But it's mine. I made it.

So that's what this is. A throwback. A museum. It's also a work in progress. There's plenty of things on other websites that aren't on here yet. And there's bits that are just links to other websites. But it's a start, isn't it?
