W is for Wellies

A realistic CGI render of a pair of empty wellington boots in wet mud. The framing is looking down as if you were about to put them on. The toes are angled towards each other so that the two boots together kind of form the letter W. There is a puddle in the mud reflecting some bare wintery trees.

Work in progress renders

The smae framing but much simpler. The mud is a simple undulating, shiny, brown texture. The same but the mud has more texture and some pooling water. The same but now there is a single big puddle. The mud is more detailed, less blobby. There is now trees in the reflection. The mud is darker. The lighting is much brighter as if lit by a single bright point-source. Too bright. The trees have leaves on. This is big departure from what was previously shown. It’s a bold play, let’s see if it pays off. The lighting is much more subtle. As if the creator is using an HDRI rather than a single point source.
