Floating

A four-track instrumental EP

A square image. In the center is the word “Floating” in large, bold, glowing white, sans-serif letters. The word is floating amidst some long grass which is lit by green, red and blue lights. Motes of dust float in the air.

Floating is Mr Chimp’s first non-ambient release since his 2015 debut Inyourmentals. The title track is a slow-building, emotional journey of guitars, synths, strings and more that builds to a crescendo before completely falling apart. The other three tracks slowly reduce the intensity, ending with a quiet, blissed-out, ambient piano piece.
